Privacy
TableSmith copies tables. It does not profile you and does not track you. This page describes exactly what is stored and exactly what ever leaves your browser.
What TableSmith stores
Two things, both inside Chrome's built-in sync storage, both removable by uninstalling the extension:
- Your settings: preferred copy format, reveal mode, whether the extension is enabled.
- If you buy Pro: your license key, the device's instance id, and the time of the last license check. Stored so Pro follows your synced Chrome profile across machines.
What leaves your browser
Nothing, most of the time. Copying a table is entirely local: the page's DOM is read, converted, and written to your clipboard. No table content is ever sent anywhere, by any code path.
If you activate the optional Pro upgrade, the extension talks to Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, in exactly two situations:
- Activation, once: when you paste your key. The request contains the key and a browser label such as
Chrome on macOS, so you can tell your browsers apart on the Manage Pro page, nothing else. - License check, throttled: while Pro is active, at most once every 12 hours, to catch refunds and browsers you removed on the Manage Pro page. It contains the key and this device's instance id, nothing else.
Clipboard
TableSmith writes to your clipboard only when you click a copy button. It never reads your clipboard.
This website
Static pages, no analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts, no trackers of any kind. After a purchase, Lemon Squeezy redirects you to this site's success page with your license key in the URL; that page loads nothing external and is excluded from search indexing. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles each connection under its own privacy policy.
The home page asks whether you like dogs. It remembers that you answered for as long as that tab is open, in your browser only, and doesn't keep or send what you said.
Manage Pro page
The Manage Pro page sends your license key to this website's service, which asks Lemon Squeezy for that key's browsers and whether the order can still be refunded, and, when you press the buttons, removes a browser or refunds the order and turns the key off. Nothing else is sent, and the key is not stored. On a browser with TableSmith Pro, the page asks TableSmith for the key so you don't have to paste it; only this website can ask, and TableSmith answers only while Pro is on.
Checkout and payment
Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Your email, card and billing details are handled by them under their own privacy policy; TableSmith never sees or stores them.
Changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
